In-Home Social Worker
Tanya Lai, RSW, MSW, is a Registered Social Worker with nearly a decade of experience supporting children, parents, and families through community-based, in-home, and child development services. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Queen's University.Â
Tanya specializes in parent coaching, early childhood development, family support, and solution-focused counselling. Her professional experience includes providing in-home early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays, where she partnered with parents to strengthen caregiving skills, support child development, and connect families with community resources. She also brings extensive experience in child protection, crisis intervention, risk assessment, and family advocacy, having worked with families navigating complex challenges including trauma, mental health concerns, substance abuse, domestic violence, and housing instability.
As a mother of 2 young children, Tanya brings lived experience to this role and is committed to building trusting relationships and empowering families through strengths-based, culturally responsive, and family-centred support.
