Laurie Boucaud

After starting a family in my late 20s, I quickly realized a hidden passion for learning about childrens’ curiosity and their development. I quit my employment as an registered insurance broker and attended Algonquin College, receiving an Honours Degree in the Early Childhood Education Program.

Serving my community for over 30yrs, I operated a successful daycare/preschool program within my home, teaching and specializing in helping children reach their individual developmental milestones through a safe, fun loving and creative environment while making lifelong friends and memories.

Over the years, I volunteered on many fundraising committees along with volunteering on a few Boards as a Member at large and/or Treasurer. I retired from my home daycare/preschool in September of 2023. I started enjoying some travel with my husband, spending time with our 3 adult children and returning to some old forgotten hobbies. Having no grandchildren, my full time retirement did not last long as I found myself missing the children too much. I look forward to welcoming you and your children within one of our many wonderful, fun- learning playgroups.
