Triple P: Positive Parenting Program

TRIPLE-P-Logo

The Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) is an 8-week online parenting group designed to support families with children aged 0–12.

Triple P is an evidence-based program that supports parents and caregivers in building the skills, confidence, and strategies needed to raise healthy, happy children. The program focuses on strengthening family relationships, supporting children’s emotional development, and helping parents respond effectively to everyday parenting challenges.

Through a combination of group sessions and personalized support, parents are guided to better understand their child’s behaviour and develop practical strategies that can be applied in daily life.

What you will learn

During the program, parents and caregivers will:

  • Develop practical strategies to prevent and manage behavioural challenges

  • Learn how to respond to tantrums, anxiety, and big emotions

  • Support their child’s emotional regulation and development

  • Encourage positive behaviours and teach new skills

  • Build stronger, more positive relationships with their child

  • Gain confidence in their parenting approach

Our approach

Triple P is grounded in research on child development and positive parenting practices. It provides simple, practical strategies that can be adapted to meet the unique needs of each family.

This program recognizes that parenting can be both rewarding and challenging. Facilitators work alongside parents to create a supportive, respectful environment where experiences can be shared and new skills can be practiced.

Like all Parent Resource Centre programs, Triple P is designed to help families build strong, healthy relationships and create nurturing environments where children can thrive.

Program details

Triple P is delivered over 8 weeks through a combination of online group sessions, at-home practice, and individualized facilitator support.

Parents and caregivers will participate in four weekly 2-hour online group sessions where they will learn practical parenting strategies and connect with other parents. This is followed by three weeks of practicing strategies at home, supported by weekly 30-minute one-on-one check-in calls with a facilitator. The program concludes with a final 2-hour online group session to reflect, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate progress.
