The Nature Table and the Celebration of the Turning of the Seasons
Dates: Nov 16, 2017
Times: 6:30 - 9:00 pm
Description:

This workshop is brought to you with a passion for the outdoors and a love for needle felting.

What is a Nature Table?
Children love collecting sticks, rocks, leaves and little treasures from nature. What can we do as caregivers to nurture this natural love of nature in our tiny people? A nature table is a great way for children to bring the outdoors in. It‘s a place where the seasons are reflected indoors with a year long story that brings it life and character. Children love to watch the story evolve through the changes of summer, fall, winter and spring. They find joy in bringing their outdoor treasures inside to decorate the table. The story is told with puppets such as Mother Nature, King Winter, Mrs. Thaw, Fairies, the Earth Children and more.

What is Needle Felting?
Needle felting is the art of sculpting wool into works of art. It is easy, fun and addictive. Everybody feels rewarded as the results are quick and beautiful. It is also a wonder to children to watch an adult sculpt a puppet that will grace the table. I welcome you to the CCPRN office to needle felt King Winter who reigns in the winter months of snow, ice and cold. You will leave with a seasonal story that will bring your nature table to life.

People always leave these workshops feeling inspired as we create and share.  I hope to see you there,
