Twice Upon a Time: Free books for Ottawa kids

We are a non-profit organization that gives new or gently used children’s books to Ottawa kids. Every child (birth to 12 yrs old) who visits, and parents/caregievrs too, can take home one book of their choice for free, per visit. Breastfeeding and Baby Express Drop-in

You will be welcomed by a family support worker who can give you information and resources and refer you to other services related to breastfeeding, parenting and child development.You can weigh your baby and meet other parents.

Then, you can meet the following professionals, depending on your concerns:

- A lactation consultant nurse, who can answer your questions about breastfeeding, your baby’s health and your own health.

- A Public Health Nurse, who can answer your questions about your baby’s needs, health and well-being as well as your own health, as needed.

Postpartum Support Drop-In
Facilitated by postpartum professionals, this group provides support and information in a relaxed and engaging environment. Women will have the opportunity to connect with other mothers experiencing postpartum challenges, while exploring new and relevant topics each week. Newborns to 12 month old infants are welcome!

Come learn about infant feeding from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. We will share how to get comfortable, how to know if your baby is getting enough to eat, how babies know just what to do and what you can do to help them do it.

Postnatal Exercise
An effective strength training workout that allows you to bond with your baby. Build strength, tone muscles, regain functional movement, improve your posture and bounce back after childbirth. All while having fun with your baby. Use your baby as resistance and strengthen your back, legs, upper body and core. For mothers/fathers and infants from 8 weeks to 12 months.
